Reminder that we will have our monthly Troop Committee meeting this Tuesday, 3/3 at 7:30pm. Please let Travis know if you have any particular items for the agenda.
As many of you already know, Scouting America announced on Friday, Feb. 27th, that it has canceled the Citizenship in Society merit badge. This change was part of a larger agreement with the U.S. Department of War that, among other things, waives national dues for many military families, establishes a new Military Service merit badge and provides for continuity of Scouting programs at U.S. military bases. More information is available in the attached announcement.
Mulch Day is All Hands on Deck! We need and expect to see all scouts on March 7th to help support our epic Mulch delivery day. Hours worked will go toward your scout fund, whether you sell mulch or not.
Please review and sign up for the Physical Fitness MB if you have not done so. NOTE: The Scouting America Medical Forms do NOT need to be received before class starts on Tuesday. You can complete and submit by the end of the semester to complete the badge and use the same copy for merit badge camp this summer. As mentioned, this is a great one for younger scouts and Eagle required!
All 2026 Eagles and Eagle Candidate parents are invited to attend the kickoff meeting of the ECoH Committee Feb 10th in the Library during the Troop meeting. We will select a Committee Chair and start the planning process for our Spring event celebrating our scouts who achieved Eagle rank in the past year.
